Six days in San Diego were an adventure-filled dream. We started in Solana Beach and explored La Jolla before relocating to a boutique in the heart of downtown.
Once again, in lieu of a lengthy and wordy post, here are some photos I took during our trip, from our days in the city of San Diego.
Gaslamp Quarter
We said goodbye to the beach and spent the remainder of our trip staying downtown, in San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter. Here, we traded sand and sunscreen for QR code menus and lots of miles walked. We tried to see and do and eat and drink as much as possible, filling our time to the brim with fun.
Little Italy
On our last full day, we made our way to San Diego’s Little Italy neighborhood. I instantly fell in love. Here, we drank at a brewery, ate a special paleta dessert, and enjoyed all of the colorful murals and buildings, while wafting in the amazing smells of food and coffee.
Seaport Village / the Harbor
Thanks to Trip Advisor, Chad and I booked a harbor cruise that took us on the water and gave us incredible views of San Diego. After two hours of new information, we walked along Seaport Village, stopping at a brewery and exploring one of the touristy-yet-charming stops in the city.
Balboa Park
As a huge animal fan, I was excited to check out the San Diego Zoo, located in Balboa Park. We were hot and exhausted but got our money’s worth—seeing every single exhibit. Lol. Afterwards, we explored a little bit of the park as we waited for an Uber (that never came) and hopped on public transportation instead.
