Goodbye, house.
I’m not quite yet ready to say it, but it’s coming up—on March 1, we’ll be leaving our Colorado house for good. On March 4, our three bed-two bath ranch will officially be transferred to new owners.
It’s a loaded goodbye. This was our first home that we purchased after years of hard work and sacrifices. It was a sanctuary during uncertain times, the birthplace of my business, and the opportunity that truly allowed us to bring Wally into our lives.
This house has seen us through a LOT. There have been giggles and tears and big life decisions hashed out between these walls. Revelations and resolutions, declarations and promises. Lots of failures paired with many successes.
For me, this house also awoke a passion for home design and staging that I never knew existed. It has been such a worthy challenge to cultivate a space that I love—that’s bright, cozy, airy, and meaningful. When we moved in, it was gross and dull and smelly; however, slowly but surely, our house turned into a home. I am incredibly proud of the transformation and the creation I’m responsible for.
So, as we’re packing up, here’s a final farewell to our New Castle house.

Goodbye, house.
We had to leave Colorado in July of 2020. I grew up in Littleton. My wife and I lived in Parker where we were raising our 2 kids in a great community. I didn’t want to leave, but it was just too expensive with the high taxes and cost of living. We also didn’t like the political changes and what they were doing to teachers. My wife is a teacher & she found a great position here in Florida. I miss CO every day. I lived there for 34 years of my 43. If I could, I would go back right now. I miss the mountains and the crisp Rocky Mountain air. Blessings to you both as you start your new journey!
