Hi! Life has been so busy and wonderful lately and although I’ve been documenting the chaos properly on my Instagram, I’ve been neglecting regular updates on my blog.
I thought that a wonderful way to get back into the swing of things would by highlighting some of my recent favorite moments: the times I’ve been left smiling ear-to-ear, so busy living life fully that I couldn’t even imagine tearing my attention away.
In short: if my mission is to chase sunshine, these are the moments that make it all worth it.
Favorite moments

Lizzo concert!!!
Holy cow! In mid May, Chad and I went to the Lizzo concert with our friends Haley and Meg at Milwaukee’s Fiserv Forum, and it was absolutely incredible. Like, can’t get it out of my head: empowering, beautiful, impressive, cathartic, healing, amazing.
As an additional bonus, a random worker offered us MUCH better seats, right before the concert started. That was such a thrilling gift! Lizzo is so talented and she blew us all away.
Pickleball
Honestly, I’ve been playing pickleball for a few weeks now and it has been one of the happiest changes brought to my life in a long, long time. I love it so much.
The best parts: I get to play with Chad, it’s good exercise, it’s silly goofy fun, it can be a way to spend time outside, and we seem to get better and better each time. I feel like an athlete again! We’ve been playing in a Monday night league, and that’s been such a blast too.
I’ve been joking that pickleball is our entire personality now, and that feels pretty accurate. I love it. Please play with us. <3
Hanging with our (new) neighbors
A few weeks ago, Chad and I arrived home after an amazing day of pickleball, brewery drinking, and ice cream-eating. As we were unloading the car, our neighbors from across the alley waved us over. We unexpectedly spent the entire night (until 2:45 a.m.!!!) drinking wine and getting to know them.
It was pretty awesome, to say the least.
Rooftop barre
As a member of Milwaukee’s Barre Code, I try to go to classes about twice a week. One of my favorite things is that the owner, Jamie, also hosts events throughout the summer! I recently went to a class held on a rooftop bar in downtown Milwaukee—we had the class and then everyone got to mingle and sip a mimosa! So, so fun.
Quality time with friends
I feel so fortunate to have spent some great time with friends, new and longstanding! Over the past few months, we’ve maintained our weekly date with Haley (enjoying Tuesday Brewsdays as a way to get through the bleak winter, lol), hosted our friends Phil and Megan over Memorial Day weekend, had several happy hour dates, bonded over Lizzo, played in Chad’s work softball league, and I’ve even taken a fitness class with a new friend (who am I, lol?).
It’s been really meaningful to find strong connections. 🙂
Warm weather
Summer is coming, and I’ve never felt more alive. Blue skies, green grass, flowers all over the Brewer’s Hill neighborhood. The beaches are full, the beer gardens are open, and I am loving every single moment.
Good ass TV
Ending on a banger: there’s been some incredible television shows lately, though many have ended. Succession was incredible and I loved it from start to finish. It was hard to say goodbye to Ted Lasso as well! That show carried Chad and I through the pandemic, and I based so much of my own coaching philosophy off of “the Lasso Way.” We’re also catching up on Barry, which recently also aired its final episode.
I love good storytelling: while I’m sad these series are ending, they’ve also been incredible to watch.

Cheers to the moments that remind us of what a good life we live. ☀
