Wow! I’m later than ever, but hey. It’s here. I’m here.
Let’s just pretend I did this goal summary at the beginning of fall, and not nearly into winter. 🙂
Regardless, there’s still time to be my best self!
First, I’ll review my previously posted summer goals before diving into my latest vision for (the last freezing breaths of) fall 2023. Happy fall-pretty-much-winter, y’all.
Review of summer goals
- Get in those beach days
- Accomplished! We did our best, with a couple days at the beach. I hope next year has even more.
- Travel somewhere new
- Accomplished! There were a few new places for us: Chicago, Cedarburg, Mukwonago, Watertown, Cudahy, and Door County.
- Work outside
- Accomplished! I did an okay job at breaking up my regular routine by working outside in my lounge chair! I hope for way more days next warm season.
- Keep moving the body
- Mostly accomplished! For a while there, we did a great job playing pickleball, until travel, sickness, and guests took us out of our routine. But I’m so proud of us for the bar we set.
- Be budget-conscious
- Mostly accomplished! We did a pretty darn good job being choosier about where we spent our money. There was room for improvement, but we dramatically reduced our mid-week take-out, just like we set out to do. Go us!

New (late, late, late -) fall goals 2023
Bounce back
Late summer and most of fall was wonderful, but chaotic and busy. It’s taken me quite a while to recover. But now, I’m hoping to make the most of it, by bouncing back where I need to: taking care of myself, the house, appointments, and anything else that’s been placed on the backburner.

I’d like to end the season on a high-note reading wise. I’ve done a great job this year, and I want to carry that momentum into winter.
Move my body
For these last weeks, I want to push myself to do 2-3 barre classes a week and sneak pickleball in, too. Bonus points for increasing my steps while I’m at it.
Wish me luck for my pursuit of my latest seasonal goals!

You are your best self!! And congrats on reaching most of your goals and setting winter intentions!
That is such a thoughtful compliment – thank you, so much.
