As you (probably) know, I recently took a trip to Banff, Canada with my husband and parents.
It was five days of bliss: we stayed in a castle, enjoyed the highly walkable city, day tripped to Lake Louise, and rode gondolas with breathtaking views.
We ate, drank, explored, and had some serious fun along the way.
Here are some photos taken throughout the trip, which was (quite literally) filled with sunshine.
Introduction to Banff
When we first arrived at our (literal) castle hotel, we made a point to head out to the observation deck. Our first afternoon was filled with scenic rooftop drinks, a walk to the local German restaurant, and amazement at the 11 p.m. sunset. The castle was perfect for exploration, too.
Banff Gondola
Our first full day in Banff was bookmarked with a trip to the Banff Gondola. At the top, we drank in the gorgeous panoramic views and took a small hike to a scenic lookout. Banff Upper Hot Springs is nearby, with clear geothermal water and can’t-miss scenery.
Local Sights
A river runs right through the town, and Bow Falls is right within reach. Everywhere in town is like a postcard. In-your-face beauty, from all angles.
Lake Louise
A day-trip to Lake Louise is an absolute must. We enjoyed the turquoise waters (with a quick photo shoot as well) and a hike up to the Agnes Lake Tea House. Other spots were the high-alpine Cathedral Lake and Lake Morraine, with deep blue hues. We capped our trip with a visit to the Lake Louise Gondola, which had more breathtaking mountain views.
Beautiful Banff
As you can see, Banff is full of sunshine, wherever you go.
