Hi everyone!
As a writer, I prefer to create posts that are meaningful, fun, helpful, or interesting. I like to create posts that I would want to read if I stumbled upon this blog for the first time.
As a business owner, though, in the midst of a pandemic, I need to at least try, even if only once, to boost awareness for ways to support this site. It’s a little gross, I know, but promotion is part of sustaining and keeping small businesses alive and afloat.
Bear with me, please, before I get back to my usual fun and non-spammy posts about married life, outdoorsy stuff, weekend fun, and writerly musings. These are the best ways to support this blog (and me).

1. Treat yourself to something from my store
Not to brag, but I have some pretty cool items for sale! Personally, I love my Sunshine Forever t-shirt best, followed by this notepad. I’m 100% biased though, so take a look and decide for yourselves here.
By the way, if you have any feedback about the kind of products you’d like to see in my store, let me know. I’m always open to new ideas!
2. Leave a comment
Not all support is monetary! I always appreciate a like, comment, or share. Engagement goes a long way when working with brands and showing business growth, so everything helps.
3. Buy me a coffee
My favorite notification is when I receive a notification that someone bought me a coffee! The Ko-fi platform is set up for $3 donations—less than a fancy pants drink order. If you’re interested in supporting me with a donation, you can do so here: ko-fi.com/sunshinewithsavannah.
4. Follow me on social media
I’m always looking to grow and expand my social media presence. Here are ways for you us to stay connected:
- Like my Facebook page
- Follow me on Instagram
- Follow me on Twitter
- Follow me on Pinterest
I try to follow back with my blogging buddies, so let me know that this post referred you!
5. Hire me
First and foremost, I’m a writer. If you need any kind of freelance writing services, I’m your gal. Here are a few things I can do:
- Editing services
- Write blogs for your business website
- Write email blasts, press releases, website copy, and other advertorial or marketing copy
- Manage your social media
If you’re interested, check out my online portfolio or feel free to contact me.
6. Read my posts without ad-blocker
Though silly, one of the best non-money things you can do for any blogger is to pause or disable your ad-blocker while surfing their site. Many of us generate some income (though usually very, very little) through our advertising. You don’t have to click—just seeing them is enough.
Thank you for making it through this post. I appreciate all of my readers and your support, in all its forms. Sending all my love and sunshine your way, always.
There’s nothing wrong with a little self promotion! 😊
Thank you so much, Kim, for your comment and donation! It means the world to me. <3
Terrific post – thanks for the info…coffee on the way!
Thank you SO much, John! I so appreciate your generous donation and support.
First time hearing of you having an online store, probably because I’ve been away from wordpress and so haven’t read your blog in a while. Anyway congrats and I hope it’s all going well for you, especially during these tough times!

Thank you so much for reading and commenting, John! I’ve loved adding my online store – definitely gives this site another dimension. I hope all is well for you, too!
These are all such great ways to support all bloggers! It’s so important that we support each other as much as we can! I didn’t know you had a shop though, I’ll definitely check it out! xxx
Agreed! Thank you so much for reading, commenting, and looking through the shop. xx
I couldn’t agree more, it takes less than 60 seconds to leave a comment once you’ve read a post! And if you can’t buy from someone’s store then social shares are helpful too. Small businesses are really suffering at the moment, so every little helps – and self-promotion is nothing to feel gross about! Lisa x
A little late on my reply, but thank you for reading and commenting, Lisa! I couldn’t agree more. I hope all is well. x
There’s nothing wrong with a little promo. And thanks for sharing these simple things. I think people think support and assume money sometimes so highlighting a few of the things mentioned here is really helpful! x
