In true form, Chad’s birthday came and went in mid-June. He turned 32 with all the trappings: we crammed in a weekend of fun (a hot tub boat rental, Brewers game, brewery hopping with friends), and continued on with our busy schedules of next, next, next.
And while life continues to ebb, flow, and move so, so quickly, I wanted to take a belated moment to pause and reflect and remember on written record that life is sweeter with my husband in it.

To Chad:
There’s such a privilege in spending 15 consecutive birthdays together, where I keep getting to thank the universe for June and sunshine and a world with you in it.
I’ve known you for years and lifetimes and yet I love how we’re just getting started, just scratching the surface, just barely setting the mold for who we get to decide to be.
I’ve loved you for longer than my memory can hold—worn from time and by magic. It sometimes feels like I could burst, leaking at the seams with sheer luck and admiration and respect and really just a whole lot of love for every drop of who you are and whoever you’ll grow to be.
Here’s to a life full of June birthdays, of celebration, of high school sweethearts growing and blossoming and living sweetly. I can’t wait to see all the good that 32 brings.
I love you always.
