Are we in the clear yet? To say: winter 2025 came with a force—grey and oppressive and…over?
It wasn’t all bad. Mixed in with the cold, seasonal depression, and a hostile government takeover, there were also holiday celebrations, self-care, travel, friendship, movement, and joy. I feel a little stronger coming out on the other side, ready to tackle a new, rejuvenating season.
Here’s my winter 2025 in photos; a visual representation of my seasonal adventures in Milwaukee. Thanks for taking a peek!
December
December hit in full force. Highlights for us included a roaring 20s murder mystery party, our annual holiday bar crawl, a trip to Glassnote Candle Bar, holiday work parties, a mood board night, Christmas Eve dinner in downtown Milwaukee, our Christmas meal with Haley at home, a favorite things party, and a bridal modeling gig! It was a busy and active month.

December, being the last month of the year, cannot help but make us think of what is to come.

January
For us, January was full to the brim. I challenged myself to a “seeking sunshine challenge,” where I did short, creative activities anytime the sky was grey (it was a lot). I had a big magazine writing deadline, and several client meetings. But I also had a lot of fun: NYE with friends, Leslie’s book swap birthday brunch, a chemical face peel, wiffle ball, dodgeball league with Kelli and Sam, Michelle and James’ joint birthday-turned-engagement party, brunch, side quests, and blue sky days.

In the depth of winter, I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer.

February
Winter 2025 was made tolerable thanks to a rejuvenating February. AKA: we went on a winter vacation to Florida—featuring sunshine, pool-time, and a wonderful day at Margaritaville.
Other highlights included a record store Valentine’s Day photoshoot, Kelli’s galentine’s day party, pickleball, a stop by Mitten Fest, some amazing collaborations, dodgeball, Laura’s traveling book swap birthday party, a styled photoshoot with Nameless Creative Studios, a Chili’s date with Kelli and Sam, the Milwaukee Art Museum After Dark event, a classic Wisco Friday fish fry, a speakeasy visit with Haley, winning our wiffle ball championship, and me getting a tattoo to celebrate our wiffle ball win.
It was an incredibly busy month, lol.

While it is February, one can taste the full joys of anticipation. Spring stands at the gate with her finger on the latch.

Thank you so much – it was a good one!
It sounds like you’ve been very busy so far in 2025, creating a lot of great memories, but also being able to document it all with your photos, photos that are all really good. Congrats on getting a tattoo as well. Was that your first one? Will you get any more?
It’s been quite busy, which is always good for me to help battle my seasonal depression. And thank you! It’s actually my 11th tattoo, which is always fun! Thank you for reading and commenting.
