Summer, where’d you go? If you read my recent happy hour chat, you’ve likely seen that my life has been booked, busy, and maybe a little frantic lately.
Here’s my summer 2023 in photos; a visual representation of my second summer in Milwaukee, which has been…Insane! Beautiful! Fun! Packed! Adventurous! From the beginning, I loved every moment. As always, I am so grateful to live here.
June
June kicked things off in style. For example, there was Chad’s birthday, a trip to Chicago, Summerfest concerts, Strawberry Fest, softball games, pickleball league, and lots of time outside. I loved that we jumped right into the season! I loved patio drinks, friends, new places and adventures, and a desire to embrace the warm weather while it’s here.
We were consistently busy, and greeted summer 2023 in a rush of go-go-go, embracing the sunshine, beaches, blue skies, and all of Milwaukee’s charm.
It was June, and the world smelled of roses. The sunshine was like powdered gold over the grassy hillside.

July
The fun kept coming in July, as we maintained a packed schedule and impromptu decisions. This month featured lots and lots of pickleball, a trip to Colorado for my 10-year high school reunion (which I planned, as former class president), many Barre Code classes, as many beach days as possible, and lots of fun with friends. From happy hours to girls’ nights at the MKE Night Market, there was no shortage of fun and memories made.
We definitely got the most out of every moment!
The summer looks out from her brazen tower, through the flashing bars of July.

August
I love how August finally feels like you’ve gotten used to the fast-paced vibes of summer, and then it’s over before you know what hit you.
We had so much fun, with a trip to Washington DC, a square dancing night at Third Space Brewery, several kayaking adventures, last-minute Brewers games, pickleball tournaments, a Lumineers concert at the Summerfest grounds, time with friends and family, and much, much more.
We sustained lots of smiles and sunshine, on repeat.
August slipped away into a moment in time.
