If you read my recent happy hour chat, you’ve likely seen that my life has been booked, busy, and maybe a little frantic lately.
Here’s the companion visuals for the past couple of whirlwind months. This is the visual representation of my second spring in Milwaukee, which has been filled with adventure and fun and overall, delight.
Keep reading for my spring 2023, in photos.
March
It’s hard not to think of March as my favorite month, since it’s one giant lead up to my birthday. 🙂
This March in particular was a doozy. Luckily for me, I had two new clients and 15 or so magazine articles under deadline to keep me extremely busy. At the same time, Chad and I also had the end of our shuffleboard league, a pub crawl, and drag bingo. As an extra bonus, I also got a great new hairstyle and got to experience one hell of a 28th birthday celebration weekend.
You are reborn with the roses, in every spring.

April
Sometimes, April is a dreary month. Last year that was the case. I found that the sky had more cloudy days than I ever knew was possible.
For spring 2023, however, I tried to make the most of it, and the effort helped. I went to Colorado, we went to a pride prom event, there were many Tuesday brewsdays, we ran a 5k, explored new MKE haunts, I got my ear pierced, we made candles, and Chad and I made connections with friends.
You know what? The cloudy skies didn’t seem quite as dreary this time around.
April, the angel of the months, the young love of the year.

May
May is one of my favorite months, simply because it exists on the cusp of summer. There’s anticipation and excitement and sunshine.
This year, there was also so much fun. This included pickleball, friend dates, a Lizzo concert, Chad’s softball league, a trip to Sheboygan, barre class, and hosting our first visitors of the year. There were many glimpses into a beautiful, blue sky, Wisconsin summer.
May, more than any other month of the year, wants us to feel most alive.
