There’s nothing quite like a “spring goals” post when spring is quickly approaching a warm and sunny end. Oops!
I’m incredibly late to this season’s goals, because it’s just been so busy for me. (More on that later! A happy hour update is incredibly overdue!) Alas, there’s still time to knock out (or rather, focus on) goals for myself to accomplish before summer officially arrives.
As always, I’ll first review my previously posted winter goals before diving into my latest vision for spring 2024. Cheers to the blue skies and sprouting plants and newborn animals and every other seasonal trope that brings a sense of fresh awakenings to this time of year.

Review of winter goals
- Not yet accomplished. If I’m being honest, I didn’t read much at all. I’ve been in a slump this winter! The itch isn’t there, and that’s okay. I know I’ll make up for it.
- Go to barre class
- Accomplished! Yes, I killed my barre goals! I’ve been going consistently and I’m extremely proud of myself.
- Daily movement
- Accomplished! For the most part, yes! I think I imagined more for myself, but I think with barre class and three sports leagues (wiffle ball, softball, and sand volleyball), I actually did pretty damn well here.
- Be financially conscious
- Mostly! There’s room for improvement, but we did make strides on decreasing our Doordash and being thoughtful with our time out and about. We’re getting a little loosey goosey with the warm weather, so this is a work in progress.
- Wearing clothes thoughtfully
- Accomplished! Yes! I did! With the added bonus of creating styling videos (which you can find on my Instagram). I’ve been having a lot of fun with my wardrobe lately.
- Do things quickly
- Accomplished! I think so! For the most part, I’ve been taking action and being proactive. For example, even though I was busy the ENTIRE month of March with writing deadlines, I did not wait around for them.
- Drink more water
- In progress. I think I drank about the same, and probably need to kick it up a notch.
- Finish one house project
- In progress. Ehhh, lol, still working on this one!
Spring goals 2024
Move my body
Let’s keep the momentum going! Barre classes are a big one for me (I still aim for 2-3 per week), and I’d like to play pickleball more often. We’ll see what I can do!
Throw great parties
There’s some fun on the veranda! This weekend is beginning with a Bridgerton-themed party, and then quickly followed by Camp Chad in June (my husband’s 30th birthday party!). I need to get cracking on the latter, and I’m excited to see what I put together.
Be financially conscious
Keeping this one, because it’s always relevant! Post-Bridgerton especially, I’d like to be mindful of spending.
Batch more content
I go in and out of creative spurts. This is okay! It’s simply how my brain works. If I can use it to my advantage by creating batches of content, and planning to post them in advance, I’ll be better off in my consistency. It’ll be a challenge, but I’m working on it!
Start a Youtube channel
In a similar vein, I recently had an idea to start a Youtube Channel, focused on reading favorite books from my childhood aloud (and dressing like a teacher as I do, lol). I recorded one video and thought, there’s something here.
It was reinforced by many friends, and one Instagram follower even showed my reading video to her kiddo! It really made my day. I think this could be a worthy project, and I’d like to start.
Plan for summer
Summer is coming, and it goes by QUICK. Milwaukee is the best in the summertime, and I want to take advantage of every moment. That will require intentional and focused planning! One of my main goals is to sit down and update the calendar, and really think about how we can get the most out of the season.
Onward!
Wish me luck for my pursuit of my latest seasonal goals!
