This year, I’m heading to Nashville for my thirtieth birthday. There will be yees, there will be haws, there will be knee-slappin’ good times with a group of my very best friends. I can hardly wait: I’m beyond excited to spend some quality time with my loved ones. Additionally, as a lover of all things theme, I’m also stoked to start packing for Nashville.
This Copper Cowgirl is ready to lean all the way in. I have been outfit planning and coordinating and mood boarding, trying to come up with the best ideas for what to wear on the trip.
Here’s my outfit inspiration: the clothes I’m packing for Nashville.

Outfits I’m packing for Nashville
This trip will have a couple different activity vibes throughout, from going out at night to travel (an eight hour drive!). I’m aiming for a mix of comfort and cool, all with at least a slight hint of western twang.
There will be a lot of mixing and matching between pieces as well!
Travel / lounge

In addition to our eight-hour drive, I’m also imagining these clothes carrying me through quality time spent at our Airbnb. You better believe I’ll be cozy and comfy as I’m catching up with my besties.
- Coors sweatshirt – Etsy
- Slippers – Amazon
- Sweatpants – Abercrombie
- Champion sweatpants – Urban Outfitters
Night out

For our first night out and about, I want to embrace a classic and simple look: suede and cowboy boots. Since it’s late March, I added a cardigan for layering, though I’m keeping my fingers crossed for warmth.
- Suede dress – Cider
- Black cowboy boots – Amazon
- Cardigan – American Eagle
- Cowboy necklace – Nasty Gal
Exploring

Cute adventuring awaits! I imagine beep-boppin’ around for brunch, sweet treats, and Nashville’s 12 South neighborhood in this simple-yet-cute getup.
Broadway night out

It’s not a first timer’s trip to Nashville without a night out on Broadway! (Or so I’ve been told.) This outfit is meant to lean into the western vibes, while still aiming to be trendy and flirty and fun.
- Black suede zipper dress – Nasty Gal
- Black cowboy boots – Amazon
- Gold choker – Nasty Gal
- Faux leather duster jacket – Amazon
Explorin’

I really only have two requests for my day-of birthday activities: brunch and bowling. (I’m a simple gal!) This outfit leans into a comfy and mobile aesthetic, hopefully meeting the moment for both activities.
- Crochet halter top – Cider
- High waisted jeans – Abercrombie
- Nike Court Legacy shoes
- Cow print pullover – Cider
Dive bar photoshoot

As a way to capture these trip memories, I hired a photographer to do a photoshoot at a dive bar. I’m so excited to hang out, drink a few beers, play some pool, and pose with my buddies.
I’m aiming for a laid back, yet cool vibe. This is what I’ll be wearing:
- Black tie top – Nasty Gal
- Black buckle skort – Cider
- Neck tie – bought locally at Ursa; similar on Amazon
- Black cowboy boots – Amazon
- Cowboy necklace – Nasty Gal
Theme night: Rhinestone Cowgirl

Here comes our theme: rhinestone cowgirl! I saved it for my birthday night out, where we’ll hopefully be bar hopping and exploring good eats and drinks in Nashville’s Printer’s Alley neighborhood.
- Black and silver dress – Nasty Gal
- Silver sparkly cowboy boots – Azalea Banks
- Black cowboy boots – Amazon
- Hair tassels – Amazon
- Bolo tie – Amazon
As the trip looms closer, I’m getting more and more excited. It will be so fun to wear each of these outfits in the best of company. Cheers to Nashville!

These are a lovely selection of outfits for some time spent in Nashville; it seems like you have got this covered! I am all for a knee high boot too!
There’s nothing like a good boot! Thank you very much!
