If I’m an influencer

I saw this trend recently on Instagram, where I do the bulk of my content creation and posting, and I had to participate. I’ve never quite considered myself an “influencer” (especially as someone who started this journey with only writing in mind), but if I am…I hope these are my main takeaways.

If I’m an influencer, I hope I’ve influenced you…

To make big, life-changing moves and take the unexpected adventures.

To go all-in on silly goofy fun. (And yeah, especially if that means making a fool of yourself, dressing up as grannies, and supporting your friends.)

To create (and write), even (especially) when you don’t feel like it. (It pays off.)

To fall in love with every version of someone.

(And while you’re at it, yourself, too.)

To get yourself a ✨little treat✨—knowing full well that you deserve it.

To throw the party.

Bridgerton. Holiday. Barbie. Divorced Dad. Nashville hoedown. Grannies Night Out. Third Shift Bar Crawl.

There’s no wrong way to celebrate!

To step outside of your comfort zone, at least every once in a while. (For example, signing up for a boudoir photo shoot.)

To appreciate every drop of sunshine.

To know your body is yours (to know, to love, to decorate, to modify, to take care of, to cherish exactly as-is).

To say yes more than no. (Even, no—especially—when you’re nervous or scared.)

To know it’s okay to feel it all. (Even when it’s heavy.)

To allow yourself to be seen and loved and cherished.

And, finally: to remember it’s never too late to follow your dreams. 🖤
