While I’ve always identified as a warm-weather gal (sunshine in my title might give it away), fall is nothing to scoff at. I love everything about a crisp autumn season, from the beauty of color to the inherent nostalgia as nature reflects the patterns of change.
Our first autumn in Milwaukee was delightful. It had a little bit of everything, from family to new experiences to pumpkins and beyond.
Here’s a glimpse into my fall, a mix of adventure and fun and warm feelings to carry with me into the colder, gloomier months to come, captured in photos. I’m so thankful for these memories.
September
September meant a lot to me and left a lasting impression as a month full of travel, adventure, celebrations, time with loved ones, fantastic food, the beginning notes of fall colors, and so much love.

Happily we bask in this warm September sun, which illuminates all creatures.

October
For me, October was a grounding month that was good for my soul, in a way that rooted me and pulled me deeper into good habits and fresh challenges. We (Chad, Wally, and I) cuddled, I tried new things, and Milwaukee exploded into a gorgeous fall scene in front of our eyes. It didn’t just linger, it lasted beautifully and meaningfully.

I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.

November
There are plenty of November highlights to go around. Chad and I celebrated 11 years together, went to an immersive art exhibit, painted our basement, and celebrated our first holiday season alone. I traveled solo, spent time with my mom, wandered, and dug a little deeper into the cozy vibes of a new season.
