My thirtieth birthday is quickly approaching. As I enter into this final stretch of a decade—ending my twenties—I feel differently than I expected.
I’m not scared.
I’m not sad.
There’s no anxiety, fear, regret, or pulsating negativity about what I haven’t seen, done, or experienced.
Because as far as I’m concerned, there’s plenty of time. So much. And I’m honestly just getting started.
Here’s how I feel, ending my twenties and stepping into the new era ahead of me.

I love this so much, especially when you wrote “because to age is such an incredible privilege”. What a beautiful reminder that we are all still just getting started in life. Thank you for sharing! I hope you have a very happy birthday and a wonderful decade ahead!! 😊✨️

Definitely a mindset I think many people can benefit from! Thank you so much!
Wishing you a wonderful birthday and new decade ahead! The 30s are a pretty great time for more exploration of self, and I found them to be when I released a lot of the constrains that society often puts on us (women in particular). Enjoy the journey!
Thank you so much, Molly! And absolutely – I think there’s a relief that comes with aging that many of those societal constraints seem a little less relevant to our journeys. How freeing!
Wish you a very happy birthday. Love your post. You would love your 30s.
