The key to a successful “theme night in” is having a central activity: for my recent fall craft night, we each made a DIY ghost pillow! This was a simple homage to the Halloween season upon us.
It’s easy, affordable, cute, and fun! Each person did their own variation of the pillowcase, and it was a hit to see everything come together.
Here’s how to make your own DIY ghost pillow.

Materials
I picked up all of my supplies from Amazon (in bulk for a larger group), but many items are available at dollar stores or sold more individually.
Other supplies
I also used the following on-hand supplies:
- Scissors
- Hole-puncher
- Tooth pick to assist with gluing (especially the eyes)
- Iron
Steps

- Iron the pillow cases
- Cut out your first lengths of cord to create ghost design
- Glue down the first pieces
- Measure and cut pieces to fill in the ghost design – each piece should be a little shorter each round. To save time, bulk cut each piece 4 times (for each ghost)
- Glue down cord
- Hole-punch four (4) sets of felt eyes (or cut with scissors), and glue down
- Press every piece down firmly to set, and wait 24 hours before putting the case on a pillow to cure
Enjoy! 👻🤍✨
