This season of life, filled with themed parties and nights with friends, continues. Up next: a Bridgerton party.
Yup: a regency era, afternoon tea garden party, with a theme centered on the talk and the food and the dress and the show playing in the background, of course.
In May, our home will transform into a scene straight from the Ton—to the delight and gossip of all, including Lady Whistledown.
Here’s the mood board for our Bridgerton Party!

To do
First thing’s first: here are some of the things I have to do, planning-wise:
- Decide on specialty drinks
- Source an assortment of teas
- Create fun games (including a Regency Era name generator)
- Go to Goodwill to find faux flowers, platters, and other colorful pieces to transform our home
- Figure out what kind of shoes to wear with my dress (which, yes, I already have!) (and yes, I am also wearing to a Kentucky Derby party!)
- Slowly transform our space into a colorful, pastel garden-like oasis
The food
Something I’m very, very excited about: my friend Kelli is co-hosting and diving into the menu. Kelli is also a content creator, in the food space (look her up as @cookingwithkelli on Instagram, or kellicooks on TikTok!) and she makes incredible recipe videos. So, as you can imagine, I am SO excited for her expertise to bring this party to the next level.
Bridgerton party vibe
Overall, the vibe of the Bridgerton party comes down to the following key words: colorful (pastel), floral, European, sophisticated, maximalist, refined, elegant, clever, delectable.

Update: here’s how the party details turned out.

Established in 2018, Sunshine with Savannah is a catch-all blog with an emphasis on weekend travel, millennial-style marriage and fun, reflection-based musings, outdoor adventure, home design, and all things lifestyle.
Though the content is diverse and varied, the heart of this space stays true to a single, guiding principle: a simple pursuit to find sunshine, wherever I go.

Because my wife is having the cast on her show, we got to see the first few episodes ahead of release…no spoilers at all but good to have it back – have a great party!
Oh John, that is fantastic! What an incredible opportunity for you—I bet it was so cool to watch ahead of time. I am anxiously waiting for the second half!
Looking forward to reading all about your upcoming Bridgerton Party celebration! The images look delightfully full of yummy delights!
The party was indeed quite a celebration! It was so fun to plan and put together.
How fun! You’re invite is exceptional–kudos! As a wife of an Englishman, I will share his opinion: the most authentic variety of English teas found stateside has been from World Market. 😉
Wow, that is so good to know! I will say, very little tea was drank (lol), but we did indeed use tea cups for our gin drinks.
Ha!
