I recently celebrated my 30th birthday on a large group trip to the Music City. Our Nashville itinerary was full of places and activities that reflect my own interests: spots for food, drinks, and a little fun.
Check out our Nashville itinerary below.

Day 1

We chose to stay in the Germantown area, which was a quick drive to pretty much everywhere! We were about 7-10 minutes from each neighborhood, and there are a lot of townhouses available to rent for bigger groups.
- Lunch at Bakersfield Tacos
- Quick drink at Lainey Wilson’s Bell Bottoms Up
- Drinks at White Limozeen (a Dolly-themed favorite that required reservations!)
- Order dinner from Edley’s Bar-B-Que
- Hang out at the Airbnb / PowerPoint night
Pro-tip: we had a group of 10, so I asked everyone to make a PowerPoint presentation on a topic that interests them, with a slide to introduce themselves / how we know each other. It was a hit and a great ice-breaker.
Day 2

- Coffee and brunch at Frothy Monkey
- Explore the 12 South Neighborhood (great for upscale boutiques and murals)
- imogene + willie (I bought the BEST hot dog hat here!)
- Draper James
- MODA Boutique
- Marine Layer
- Drinks at Mother’s Ruin
- Photoshoot at Lucky’s (I hired local photographer Jasmine Twineham Photography)
- Dinner at Assembly Food Hall (perfect for a big group!)
- Broadway night out
- Miranda Lambert’s Casa Rosa
- Lainey Wilson’s Bell Bottoms Up
- Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row
Pro-tip: none of the Nashville bars have covers, but they do require IDs to enter! They are sticklers for this, so be prepared!
Day 3

Birthday theme: rhinestone cowgirl!
- Brunch at Biscuit Love
- Bowling at Pinewood Social (reservations are required!)
- Treat from Donut Distillery
- Dinner at Daddy’s Dogs (hot dog stand)
- Printer’s Alley night out
- Kelli’s Karaoke
- Snitch
- Walk-in tattoos from Nashville Ink
Day 4
Our fourth day was a big travel day, so we spent the morning packing and hitting the road.
Next time

On our next trip, I’d love for our Nashville itinerary to include more exploration of historic areas! I’d love to check out more of the food scene (especially coffee shops and treats), and avoid the Broadway area, instead focusing on a more relaxed live music setting.
For this trip, our Nashville itinerary was a ton of fun and provided so many wonderful activities to celebrate my birthday! It was accommodating for a large group, plus was catered to so many of my interests. I had a blast.

Established in 2018, Sunshine with Savannah is a catch-all blog with an emphasis on weekend travel, millennial-style marriage and fun, reflection-based musings, outdoor adventure, home design, and all things lifestyle.
Though the content is diverse and varied, the heart of this space stays true to a single, guiding principle: a simple pursuit to find sunshine, wherever I go.

This is an amazing way to see, explore and enjoy Nashville (a place I’d love to visit), especially for a birthday! What an amazing time to have.
I hope you get to Nashville soon! It was so much fun. Thanks for reading!
What a great place to have your 30th birthday! You’d like all of the popular spots would be LA or New York, so this one just looks like so much fun! I love the fact that you hired a photographer to capture some great moments with your friends. Those memories will live long 🙂 I would love to visit here one day.

I haven’t been to New York, but it’s on my list! And I absolutely recommend hiring a local photographer – it’s such a fun activity. Thank you so much for reading, Lindsay!
